History to the present day
Originally built in 1838 by the Kirkpatrick family it was formally called the Windcliffe Manor.
Food and Drinks
A selection of gourmet breakfasts are served each morning between 8.30am–9.30am in the Badger Watch garden room.
A minutes walk away is one of the most famous and historic inns on the Isle of Wight: The Buddle that not only provides a really cosy country ambience, some nights with local entertainment but also excellent food. The hotel would be pleased to make reservations for lunches or dinners for you. Within a few minutes drive there is a wide choice of restaurants and dining pubs and a choice of very good local country pubs.
If you prefer to relax at the Manor a gourmet picnic can be provided to enjoy in the gardens or overlooking the wonderful coastline, which is a minutes walk away. Or why not make use of the the Woodland BBQ hut in the grounds of the manor?
Grounds and gardens
Nearby are miles of magnificent walks. Glorious Sunsets can be enjoyed in the peaceful setting of the delightful grounds. Of an evening the gardens transform into a retreat for wildlife, highlights include badger watching from the new Enchanted Folly. Other wildlife includes red squirrels, hedgehogs, peacocks and pheasants to name but a few.

Directions: From the Isle of Wight ferry, head north on Duver Road toward Eddington Road on the B3330, continue straight onto Upper Green Road, turn left on Rowborough Lane onto the A3055. Turn right on Broadway Avenue the right onto Victoria Avenue onto the A3020, continue to West Street which turns into Whitwell Road then turn right onto Southford Lane and left onto Newport Road, continue onto the High Street A3055. Turn right onto St. Catherines Road and 1st right onto Sandrock Road.
